
At the Cloud Next 2025 conference in Las Vegas, Alphabet (Google’s parent company) unveiled Ironwood, its seventh-generation Tensor Processing Unit (TPU). Ironwood is more than ten times more powerful than its predecessor and is scheduled for release in late 2025. Additionally, Google announced plans to integrate Nvidia’s upcoming Vera Rubin accelerators into its cloud services and to offer its global Cloud Wide Area Network to enterprise customers, aiming to enhance network performance and reduce costs.
